Police teams conducted an operation at a villa in Istanbul. During the operation, a conflict broke out between the suspects inside the villa and the teams.

The incident occurred around 17:00 in a luxury site in the Tepeören neighborhood of Tuzla district, Istanbul. According to the information obtained, police teams carried out an operation at a villa located within the site. A conflict broke out between the police teams and individuals named E.E., F.İ., and Ç.G. who were in the house. One police officer was injured in the conflict, while the individual named E.E., who opened fire on the police, was neutralized. The other individuals, F.İ. and Ç.G., were captured and taken into custody. Ambulance teams were called to the scene by the police teams. The medical teams that arrived at the scene took the injured police officer to Marmara Education and Research Hospital, while E.E., who died at the scene, was taken to the morgue. The police teams initiated an investigation regarding the individuals.

THE INDIVIDUALS HAVE RECORDS FOR MULTIPLE CRIMES

According to the GBT records, the deceased individual E.E. was found to have a total of 10 separate crimes, including intentional homicide, while F.İ. had a record for fraud and G.Ç. had a record for SKM crimes. Additionally, during searches conducted at the residence, 3 handguns, drugs, and a large number of cartridges were seized.

POLICE TEAMS TOOK EXTENSIVE SECURITY MEASURES

After the incident, police teams closed the streets leading to the site where the luxury villas are located to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. On the street where extensive security measures were taken, police teams stopped and checked vehicles trying to enter the street one by one.

MINISTER YERLIKAYA MADE A STATEMENT

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the attack via 'X'. Yerlikaya stated, "During the operation conducted against the wanted individuals in our Tuzla district today, shots were fired at our police officers, and as a result of the gunfire, our police officer Adem Köş was injured. I wish a speedy recovery to our heroic police officer Adem who was injured in the operation. The nation's prayers are with you. May God protect our police officers who risk their lives for the peace and security of our country."
