In the Kilimli district of Zonguldak, Ercan Demircioğlu (48), who had a restraining order against him, tried to force his wife Burçin Demircioğlu (41), from whom he was in the process of divorcing, into a car on the street. The suspect, who shot Emre Çorak (27), who intervened, and his wife with a handgun, was caught in a forest 5 kilometers from the scene and referred to the courthouse. Çorak, who was shot in the head, was intubated, and the two injured people remain in life-threatening condition.
In Zonguldak's Kilimli district, Ercan Demircioğlu (48), who shot and seriously wounded his divorcing wife Burçin Demircioğlu (41) and Emre Çorak (27), who tried to stop him, with a handgun, was caught by police in a forest. The suspect was referred to the courthouse after proceedings.
THERE WAS A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST HIM
The incident occurred last night in Doğancılar Neighborhood of Çatalağzı town in Kilimli district. Ercan Demircioğlu, who was learned to have a restraining order against him, tried to force his divorcing wife Burçin Demircioğlu into a car on the street. Meanwhile, Emre Çorak intervened in the incident. Ercan Demircioğlu pulled out the handgun he had with him and shot Emre Çorak and Burçin Demircioğlu. Following reports from those around, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Burçin Demircioğlu and Çorak, who was seriously injured after being shot in the head, were taken to Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital after first aid by medical teams. Çorak was later transferred to Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Hospital. It was stated that Çorak was intubated and Burçin Demircioğlu's life was still in danger.
CAUGHT IN FOREST ABOUT 5 KILOMETERS AWAY
Ercan Demircioğlu, who fled after the incident, was caught this morning in a forest about 5 kilometers from the scene. The suspect was brought to Zonguldak Courthouse after police procedures and hospital checks.

İbrahim Ahbe, headman of Doğancılar Neighborhood, described the moment of the incident. Ahbe stated that Ercan Demircioğlu tried to force Burçin Demircioğlu into the car as she got off the bus, and said that young people nearby intervened in the situation. Ahbe said, "The young people see it too. Emre Çorak also rushes in. They take her from his hands. He comes back. He must have gotten a gun and come back. He comes back by car. Emre asks why he came. He opened fire from the car, through the window. When the boy fell to the ground, he also fired while he was on the ground."
