A female police officer, Selin M., who previously served as a prosecutor's protection officer at the Ankara Courthouse, was arrested on the allegation of defrauding billionaire businessman Alper Ferudun, who lives in the USA, of approximately 20 million lira. "I'M WORKING FOR YOU, BABY"Alper Ferudun was detained at Istanbul Airport due to his involvement in a fatal traffic accident. According to allegations, Selin M. demanded 500,000 dollars from the businessman "to give to judges and prosecutors to close his case." It was determined that the police officer used expressions in her messages such as, "I reached the Deputy Minister of Justice, I called the President's advisor, I'm working for you, baby," and it was also revealed that she introduced Ferudun to a prosecutor in Ankara. SHE DECEIVED HIM BY CLAIMING TO HAVE HIGH-LEVEL CONNECTIONSAccording to a report in Sözcü, in the complaint petition, Ferudun claimed that Selin M. deceived him by saying that she had high-level connections and took money to resolve his case. Selin M. stated in her testimony that they were in a romantic relationship and that the businessman had made it a habit to send her expensive gifts. She described the money received as "gifts." Ferudun indicated in the complaint petition that he gave the police officer 500,000 dollars and 1 million 450 thousand TL. According to his claim, Selin M. took the money, stating that it would be used "for the legal process," and put it in her office safe. Ferudun also presented the correspondence he had with Selin M. and a consultancy contract as evidence. SHE DECEIVED HIM BY USING STATE OFFICIALSAs part of the investigation, it was determined that Selin M. was a student at a law faculty and had rented a luxury office in a residence before graduating. Additionally, it was alleged that she deceived the businessman by claiming to have "close relationships with the Deputy Minister of Justice, the President's Advisor, and judges and prosecutors." In her interrogation by the prosecutor's office, Selin M. denied the allegations and refuted Ferudun's claims. The police officer, who stated, "I only referred him to judges and lawyers I know for legal assistance," did not accept the fraud charges. While the investigation into the incident continues, Selin M. was arrested and sent to prison due to the fraud allegations.
