Indian Abducted İn Afghanistan Safely Returns Home

One of seven Indian nationals kidnapped in northeastern Afghanistan last year has safely returned to India, New Delhi announced on Monday.



India's Ministry of External Affairs expressed gratitude to Afghanistan for its support in securing the man's release and repatriation from the province of Baghlan.



"We continue to work closely with the Government of Afghanistan for the safe and early return of the remaining six Indian nationals," it said in a statement.



Last May, officials in Afghanistan said seven Indians working on an electricity supply project in northern Afghanistan had been abducted by the Taliban. -
