The Competition Authority has launched an investigation against four companies, including Biota and Derma-Cos, on allegations of price fixing and restricting online sales.

The Competition Authority has opened an investigation into the economic integrity consisting of Biota Herbal Medicines and Cosmetics Laboratories Inc., Derma Cos Pharmaceutical Medical and Cosmetic Industry and Domestic Trade Inc., and Derma-Cos Cosmetic Industry Trade Import and Export Limited Company. AN INVESTIGATION FOR DETERMINATION PURPOSES HAS BEEN INITIATEDAccording to the announcement on the Competition Authority's website, the mentioned economic integrity operates in the pharmacy channel with the brands Bioxcin, Nutraxin, Bioder, and Biobaby, and in the supermarket channel with the brands Bioblas and Restorex.
The Authority decided to open an investigation to determine whether the economic integrity consisting of Biota Herbal Medicines and Cosmetics Laboratories Inc., Derma Cos Pharmaceutical Medical and Cosmetic Industry and Domestic Trade Inc., and Derma-Cos Cosmetic Industry Trade Import and Export Limited Company has violated the Law on the Protection of Competition by determining the resale prices of its resellers and/or restricting internet sales. The investigation decisions taken by the Authority do not imply that the enterprises or associations of enterprises under investigation have violated the law and are facing or will face sanctions.
