The Karaman Governorship announced that an investigation has been launched against school administrators regarding the footage of a section of the National Anthem being read in Arabic during the March 12 program.
The Karaman Governorship made a statement regarding the public reactions to the reading of a section of the National Anthem in Arabic during the program for the Acceptance of the National Anthem on March 12 and the Commemoration of Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
In a written statement made from its social media account, the following was noted:
"In the program held within the scope of the Acceptance of the National Anthem on March 12 and the Commemoration of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, images have emerged showing that two stanzas of the anthem were read in Turkish at the opening, but the first two stanzas of the National Anthem were read in Arabic and the subsequent eight stanzas in Turkish. In order to examine all aspects of the issues that received public backlash regarding the program, our Governorship has initiated the necessary investigation against the school administrators and responsible parties who prepared the program."
