The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, announced that an agreement regarding the new corridor with Oman, where the entrance and exit of the Strait of Hormuz is under Iran's control, will be signed in the coming days. Rezaei also stated that the Tehran administration will soon declare a "prohibited zone" around the Strait of Hormuz.
The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, made statements on the agenda during a television program he attended.
FORBIDDEN ZONE MOVE IN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ Rezaei said that the Tehran administration would soon declare a "forbidden zone" around the Strait of Hormuz. Stating that the said zone would extend from the blockade area declared by the US Navy to the inner parts of the Persian Gulf, Rezaei said that any commercial vessel attempting to enter this zone would be placed on the sanctions list.
Mohsen Rezaei NEW CORRIDOR IN HORMUZ: AGREEMENT REACHED WITH OMAN Referring to the negotiations with Oman regarding international maritime transport in the Strait of Hormuz, Rezaei stated that the parties had reached an agreement on the routes to be used for passages through the region and that the memorandum of understanding would be signed in the coming days. Rezaei said, "The new international corridor to be managed by Iran was determined together with the brotherly country Oman and will be announced in the coming days."
Rezaei stated that the international press reports claiming that there is a shortage of basic goods in Iran due to the US blockade and economic sanctions do not reflect the truth.
"AMERICA'S WITHDRAWAL FROM THE AGREEMENT PUT US ON A NEW PATH" The Iranian official, who said that US President Donald Trump withdrew from the memorandum of understanding signed between the parties in June, stated that this decision led Tehran to make changes in its strategy of war and negotiation. Rezaei said, "After Trump withdrew from the agreement, we concluded that we needed to adopt a new strategy in the field of war and negotiation. America's withdrawal from the agreement put us on a new path."
"WE TESTED OUR IRANIAN-MADE ANTI-SHIP MISSILE FOR THE FIRST TIME" The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council also reported that 48 hours ago, they tested an Iranian-made anti-ship missile against an American vessel for the first time. Rezaei said, "This special missile gave the Americans hell and they had to flee."
