Iran is changing its strategy in response to the attacks by the US and Israel, targeting military sites belonging to Washington and Tel Aviv in the Gulf countries. Following the targeting of oil depots in various locations across the country last night, it was claimed that "Iran will modify its target list to also include US assets."
According to Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, an Iranian official made statements regarding the attacks on Iran's infrastructure by the US and Israel.
US CAPITAL WILL ALSO BE TARGETED
The official, referring to a change in Iran's target selection process, stated that the country will no longer limit itself to targeting only military points belonging to the US and Israel, saying, "By changing its target list, Iran will also target US capital." The official noted that this new decision was made in response to changes in the rhetoric of US and Israeli officials and that these countries have begun to directly threaten the Iranian people.
MANY OIL STORAGE FACILITIES DAMAGED
Last night, the US and Israel targeted oil depots in the capital Tehran and its surroundings. Many oil storage facilities, especially the Shehran Oil Depot, were damaged in the attacks.
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
While negotiations continued between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and many high-ranking officials were killed. Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Said Iravani, announced in a statement at the UN that at least 1,332 Iranian civilians have lost their lives since the attacks began, and thousands have been injured.
