SIRENS ACTIVATED

In a statement from the Israeli military, it was noted that a missile launch from Iran was detected. The statement indicated that sirens sounded in many parts of the country due to Iranian missiles, and that air defense systems were activated to intercept the missiles.

2 KILLED, 11 INJURED IN ISRAEL'S ATTACK

The Israeli army carried out an airstrike on the Dahiyeh district of Lebanon's capital Beirut, despite a ceasefire. According to initial reports, 2 people were killed and 11 were injured in the airstrike. In a joint statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, it was claimed that the attack was a response to rockets fired by Hezbollah towards northern Israel in the morning hours. In a post on the social media platform of the US-based company X, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed that the Israeli army targeted a Hezbollah infrastructure facility in Dahiyeh, south of Beirut.

IRAN THREATENS: "SEE THE SKY OF ISRAEL TONIGHT"

Spokesman for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Ebrahim Rezaei, reacted to the Israeli attacks on Dahiyeh by stating, "We will give a definitive response to the Zionist regime's attack on Dahiyeh." Arguing that they needed to 'discipline' Israel, Rezaei said, "We will give a definitive response to the Zionist regime's attack on Dahiyeh. See the sky of the occupied territories (Israel) tonight."

Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and Head of the Negotiating Team, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, also stated, "The green light the US is giving to the Zionist regime today makes its bases in the region legitimate targets."

NETANYAHU HOLDS SECURITY CONSULTATION AFTER IRAN THREAT

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security consultation meeting following the Iran threat after the Israeli army's airstrike on Lebanon's capital Beirut. Israel's Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the meeting was attended by Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, and heads of defense institutions. The report stated that the security meeting was limited and comprehensive, and that threats from Lebanon and Iran were discussed.

ISRAELI ARMY MAKES NO CHANGES TO INSTRUCTIONS

Meanwhile, the Israeli army's Home Front Command made no changes to its defense policy. In a statement from the Israeli military, it was stated that a situation assessment was conducted following the attack on Beirut. The statement said, "The defense guidelines of the Home Front Command will remain in effect unchanged until Monday, June 8, 2026 at 20:00."

ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON LEBANON AND CEASEFIRE

On March 2, the Israeli army launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon and occupied several towns in the south of the country. During this period, the Lebanese government announced that the number of displaced people in the country exceeded 1 million.

US President Donald Trump announced on April 24 that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which had come into effect on April 17, was extended for an additional 3 weeks.

As a result of the third round of talks between Lebanon and Israel, mediated by the US on May 14-15, it was decided to extend the ceasefire for 45 days as of May 17.

Following the fourth round of talks in Washington, the US State Department announced on June 3 that Israel and Lebanon had agreed on a "comprehensive ceasefire" on the condition that Hezbollah completely stops its attacks and withdraws all its elements south of the Litani River. Hezbollah, however, announced that it rejected the conditional ceasefire.

However, despite the announced ceasefire agreements, the Israeli army continues its attacks.
