Iran plans to export $120 million worth of medicine to Russia over the next three years, Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology Sourena Sattari said during his visit to Russia, the news website of the Iranian television iribnews reported Oct. 29.
Currently, the total value of medicine exports from Iran to Russia is $30 million annually. Among them are sclerosis and cancer medicines.
Sattari said that Iran ranks seventh in nanotechnologies in the world.
“Iran has achieved some success in the production of new medicines and intends to cooperate with Russia in this area,” he said.
During his visit to Russia Sattar was accompanied by the experts in the field of medicines, medical and nanotechnologies, as well as the oil and gas sector. During the visit, the meetings were held with Russian officials.
The Iranian delegation arrived in Tatarstan Oct. 29, where it will visit the oil and gas centers. (Cihan/Trend az)
