ARRIVES IN THE CAPITAL
According to a statement by the Media and Communication Department of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Syria's official news agency SANA, al-Shibani, along with a high-level delegation, arrived in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad.
A FIRST IN 19 YEARS
The statement noted that al-Shibani is the first Syrian Foreign Minister to visit Pakistan in 19 years, and it was reported that during the visit, al-Shibani will meet with Pakistani officials and bilateral relations between the two countries will be discussed.
In a statement issued on August 14 on the occasion of Pakistan's Independence Day, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had emphasized Syria's determination to strengthen bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and enhance cooperation in various fields.
