The Center for Combating Disinformation announced that the claims that the 28-day basic military training in paid military service would be abolished do not reflect the truth, and that the current practice continues unchanged.

The Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) has stated that the claims that "the 28-day basic military training in paid military service will be abolished," which have recently received wide coverage in public opinion and on social media, do not reflect the truth.

"THE REGULATIONS CONTINUE AS IS"

In a statement made on DMM's official social media account, it was emphasized that the claims were unfounded and the following statements were included: "The claims in some media outlets and social media accounts that 'the 28-day basic military training in paid military service will be abolished' do not reflect the truth. The legal regulations and implementation principles regarding paid military service continue as is."

"NO NEW DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN"

In the continuation of the statement, the public was called upon to follow official sources: "There is no new decision taken, concretized, or clarified by the competent authorities on the matter. It is strongly requested that the public not give credence to unfounded posts and consider only the statements made by the relevant official institutions."
