The Presidency Communication Directorate's Disinformation Combat Center (DCC) has announced that the claim shared on some social media accounts, stating that "judges and prosecutors will receive additional payments ranging from 25,000 to 30,000 liras from the judicial package," is not true. "THERE IS NO SUCH REGULATION IN THE JUDICIAL PACKAGE"In the statement made on DCC's social media account, it was stated that the law proposal, known as the 9th Judicial Package in the public, submitted to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey does not include any regulation regarding "additional payments ranging from 25,000 to 30,000 liras for judges and prosecutors." The statement reminded that the provision stating "additional monthly compensation will be paid in the amount obtained by multiplying the figure of 15,000 by the coefficient applied to civil servant salaries" is an existing regulation in Article 106 of the Judges and Prosecutors Law, and it emphasized that no new regulation has been introduced in this regard. "ADDITIONAL PAYMENT REGULATION WAS CANCELLED ON OCTOBER 11, 2023"The statement included the following; "However, the regulation regarding additional monthly compensation, which would be obtained by multiplying the figure of 40,000 for members of the Court of Cassation and the Council of State and 15,000 for first-class judges and prosecutors by the coefficient applied to civil servant salaries, was cancelled by the Constitutional Court on October 11, 2023, on the grounds of 'violation of the principle of equality.' With the Judicial Package, the figure of 15,000 has also been determined for the additional compensation for members of the Court of Cassation and the Council of State in accordance with the Constitutional Court's cancellation decision."
