Israel Army Denies Soldier Abducted İn Shebaa Attack

The Israeli army has dismissed reports that an Israeli soldier was abducted during an attack by Hezbollah on troops in Israeli-occupied Shebaa Farms region.



"The rumor of abduction has been ruled out," Israeli army spokesman Peter Lerner said on Twitter.



Earlier Wednesday, Lebanon's state-run NNA news agency had reported that an Israeli soldier had been captured during an attack in the Shebaa Farms region.



The attack was later claimed by Lebanon's Hezbollah group.



The Israeli media had earlier reported that at least four Israeli troops had been injured in Shebaa Farms when their vehicle was struck by a barrage of anti-tank missiles.



The attack came ten days after Hezbollah had accused Israel of killing six of its fighters – along with six Iranians – in a drone strike in the Syrian town of Quneitra.



The slain fighters had included two Hezbollah commanders and the son of Imad Mughniyah, a Hezbollah leader killed by a car bomb in Syria in 2008.
