The Global Sumud Fleet, aiming to continue humanitarian aid efforts for Gaza, moved again to deliver aid to the region. Advancing in international waters, the fleet once again faced a raid by the Israeli army, as before.

Activists and aid volunteers on the fleet stated that they organized the expedition to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and deliver essential supplies to the region.

ISRAELI ARMY ATTACKED THE FLEET

According to allegations, Israeli soldiers intervened in the fleet in international waters and boarded the boats. The moment Israeli soldiers boarded the Andros boat en route to Gaza was broadcast live.

In the footage, the moments when one of the Israeli soldiers covered the camera with his hand after noticing it drew attention. Those moments quickly resonated in the international public opinion.

FOOTAGE SPARKED REACTION

After the images shared on social media and international platforms, many users stated that the intervention could create controversy in terms of international law. Human rights advocates called for an end to interventions against the aid fleet.
