Israel Palestine Ceasefire Breakdown Worries Turkey

Following renewed rocket attacks from both Israel and Palestine on Tuesday, Turkey's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday issued a statement urging both sides to reach a consensus through discussions. 



Israeli army launched several airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday following a rocket fire from the blockaded Palestinian territory despite a temporary ceasefire.



The Israeli army earlier said Tuesday that three rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, despite a temporary ceasefire with Palestinian factions, which was set to expire on Tuesday midnight.



"This continued aggression will be addressed accordingly by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF),"  spokesman Peter Lerner said.



At least 2036 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed and more than 10,000 others injured in Israeli attacks on the coastal enclave since July 7.
