Hassan Nasrallah was killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Dahiye neighborhood of southern Beirut on September 27. While Hezbollah has not yet determined who will succeed Nasrallah, Safiyuddin's name is emerging for the Secretary-General position. DEATH TOLL REACHES 2,083The Israeli army, which has been engaged in controlled clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, carried out hundreds of airstrikes on southern Lebanese cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions on September 23.
