"Israel's 'Stay Away from the Sea' Threat to Lebanon"

Israel, which aims to gradually spread the war in Gaza to the region, has been continuing to strike Lebanon from land, air, and sea for days. The Israeli army announced in a new statement that it would launch a naval attack against Hezbollah, threatening everyone, including fishing boats, to stay away from the sea starting from the city of Sidon.

ISRAEL WILL ATTACK HEZBOLLAH WITH NAVY

Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee warned Lebanese people to urgently avoid going out to sea with fishing boats or other marine vessels from the Avali River line north of the city of Sidon. The Israeli army, which announced that it would now launch a naval attack against Hezbollah, threatened the Lebanese with their lives if they approached the sea in this area.

ATTACKS ON SOUTH LEBANON CONTINUE

Airstrikes were carried out on the town of Khiam and its surroundings in the Nabatiye Governorate in southern Lebanon. Smoke rose from the area after the attack.

UN: 250,000 PEOPLE HAVE CROSSED INTO SYRIA

Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), stated that 250,000 people have crossed from Lebanon into Syria as Israel continues its air and ground attacks. Grandi said, "Since September 23, I have been at the Syria/Lebanon border where 250,000 people have crossed due to the increase in Israeli airstrikes. Local authorities, the Syrian Red Crescent, the UN, and partners are working 24/7 with UNHCR to provide a humane and efficient reception."

HAŞIM SAFİYUDDİN'S DEATH STILL UNCERTAIN

Israeli Government Spokesperson David Mencer made a statement regarding his country's attacks on Lebanon during an online briefing. Mencer emphasized that they do not have information to confirm the death of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah's possible successor, Haşim Safiyuddin, stating that if confirmed, it would be shared on the Israeli army's website.

Hassan Nasrallah was killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Dahiye neighborhood of southern Beirut on September 27. While Hezbollah has not yet determined who will succeed Nasrallah, Safiyuddin's name is emerging for the Secretary-General position.

DEATH TOLL REACHES 2,083

The Israeli army, which has been engaged in controlled clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, carried out hundreds of airstrikes on southern Lebanese cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions on September 23. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, a total of 2,083 people have died since October 8, 2023, including 104 children and 194 women. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in the Israeli airstrikes on Beirut on September 27. Hezbollah is responding to Israel with rockets and missiles. There have been no significant reports of damage from these attacks, which mostly target military bases on the Israeli side. Due to the Israeli bombardment, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced within the country. While the wave of migration from the southern regions of the country to the capital Beirut and the north continues, it is reported that tens of thousands of people have migrated to Syria.
