The commander of the Israeli Air Force, Tomer Bar, announced that they will increase attacks against the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.

Israeli Air Force Commander Tomer Bar announced the new country they have targeted after Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.

"WE WILL INCREASE ATTACKS"

Speaking about the tensions with the Houthis during the graduation ceremony of the Israeli Air Force pilots, Bar stated that they have carried out three separate attacks on Yemen. He expressed that they will continue to increase the "speed and intensity" of airstrikes as needed.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The tension between Israel and the Houthis in Yemen has been escalating recently. The Houthis attempted to attack central Israel with a ballistic missile this morning. The Israeli army announced that the missile was intercepted before entering Israeli airspace. On December 19, the Israeli army conducted airstrikes on Yemen's capital Sana'a as well as the city of Hudaydah. At least 9 people were reported killed in the attacks.
