The Council Against the Separation (Shame) Wall and Jewish Settlement Units, affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), made a written statement regarding the attacks in the West Bank.
The statement noted that 19-year-old Omar Muhammad Naasan and 16-year-old Khalil Rasim Khalil Shahadeh lost their lives in the latest attack on the village of al-Mughayyir, affiliated with Ramallah.
DEATH TOLL RISES TO 27 IN 2026
It was noted that with the latest deaths, the number of Palestinians who have lost their lives in attacks by Israelis usurping Palestinian lands since the beginning of 2026 has risen to 27.
The statement reported that the total number of Palestinians who have lost their lives in these attacks since October 7, 2023, has reached 63.
RAID CARRIED OUT ON THE VILLAGE
Amin Abu Alya, head of the al-Mughayyir Village Council, speaking to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, stated that Israeli soldiers and Israelis usurping Palestinian lands carried out a raid near the Grand Mosque in the village center.
Abu Alya noted that two houses were targeted in the raid and that sheep belonging to a farmer were also stolen.
LIVE AMMUNITION FIRED
Abu Alya said that snipers from the Israeli army were positioned on the roofs of buildings, and live fire was opened on the villagers while they were trying to prevent the theft.
It was reported that Naasan and Shahadeh, who were seriously wounded, died while being taken to the hospital.
ATTACKS IN THE WEST BANK INCREASE
Since October 7, 2023, there has been a significant increase in raids by the Israeli army in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as in attacks by Israelis usurping Palestinian lands, forced displacement, and property seizure operations.
