The new tariff proposals on the agenda of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council foresee increases ranging from 10% to 100% in many processes related to zoning. Comprehensive increases, including those for housing, mapping, and address transactions, will be discussed in the Council today.
The Tariff Commission has completed its work on proposals that foresee price increases in many items in the zoning files referred to the commissions during the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council's October meeting.
PRICE INCREASE IN MANY ITEMS IN ZONING
The proposals expected to be on the agenda at today's IMM Council meeting foresee different rates of increase for many transactions in the zoning area. Accordingly, a 10% increase is proposed for map processing fees, a 20% increase for construction direction survey fees, and a 33% increase for address management services. These items are among the services that are frequently used, especially in new construction processes, and directly affect the applicants.
INCREASE IN HOUSING PERMIT FEES
Additionally, a 40% increase is planned for the fees related to obtaining the building usage permit (Housing Permit). It is stated that this increase will concern a wide segment of the population, as this document is mandatory for the legal use of a building.
FILE REVIEW FEE DOUBLES
On the other hand, it is anticipated that the file review fees requested for the evaluation of projects and the control of compliance with regulations will be increased by 100% according to the current tariff. This item means a significant cost increase, especially for contractors and technical offices that frequently carry out transactions.
