The Super League giant Fenerbahçe hosted Galatasaray in Kadıköy. The yellow-red team won the match 3-1 with goals from Torreira, Mertens, and Sara. Fenerbahçe's only goal was scored by Dzeko from a penalty.

While the yellow-red team celebrated their victory in the locker room, the writing "Penalty, wild card" on top of the number 1 representing Fenerbahçe's goal did not go unnoticed.

While making references to their rival on social media, the yellow-red team wrote "1-3 Kadıköy Memory" on the wall. Technical director Okan Buruk and his son Ali Yiğit Buruk posed here; the writing "penalty, wild card" next to Fenerbahçe's score of 1 was widely discussed.
