The tiger named Altai, which mauled 23-year-old William Chapman to death at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England, was filmed for the first time about a week after the incident. In the park, which has reopened to visitors, the tiger was seen resting on the grass and roaring. While the autopsy report determined that the young man died as a result of numerous traumatic injuries, an investigation continues into why he entered the area where the tiger was.

Following the fatal tiger attack at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in South Yorkshire, England, striking images have emerged. William Chapman, 23, who entered the area where the tiger was kept, lost his life as a result of the animal's attack. As the park, which remained closed for about a week after the horrific incident, began welcoming visitors again, Altai, the tiger that caused Chapman's death, was also seen on camera for the first time.

KILLER TIGER FILMED ON THE GRASS

In photos taken on Friday morning when the park reopened, the tiger named Altai was seen resting and roaring on the grass in the area reserved for it.

While images of the animal that caused the young man's death drew attention, the reopening of the park was welcomed positively by visitors. Some people said they were happy that the park had reopened, while one visitor said they would make a reservation for next week.

23-YEAR-OLD MAN DIED IN A HORRIFIC WAY

In the forensic examination launched into the incident, it was announced that William Chapman died due to numerous traumatic injuries on his body.

Dr. Karzai, who performed the autopsy, recorded the provisional cause of death as multiple traumatic injuries resulting from contact with the animal. It was stated that the investigation into Chapman's death will continue with a hearing to be held on March 18 next year.

CALL FROM FAMILY TO AUTHORITIES

As part of the investigation, it was also shared that Chapman had previously received support from mental health services. His family expressed concerns about the health services their son received in the period before his death and asked for the incident to be investigated in all its aspects.

It was announced that the relevant health institution has launched an independent patient safety review, and Doncaster Council will also conduct an investigation regarding occupational health and safety.

SECURITY CAMERAS TO BE EXAMINED

Authorities requested that the park's security camera footage be obtained in order to determine how the incident occurred. It was also reported that whether Chapman had previously visited the park would be investigated.

The young man's neighbor Josh Anderson described Chapman as kind-hearted and harmless. Anderson said he was greatly shocked when he saw the news of his friend's death on television. As part of the investigation, it is expected to be determined why Chapman entered the area where the tiger was kept.
