While fluctuations in Brent crude oil prices continue, gasoline and diesel prices are also varying with news of discounts and increases. Starting from tomorrow, a price increase of 1 lira and 20 kuruş is expected for gasoline, which means that with the reflected price increase at the pump, the price of gasoline in Istanbul will be sold at 42 lira and 75 kuruş per liter.

Citizens continue to monitor gasoline and diesel prices along with changes in Brent crude oil prices and currency rates.

Starting from tomorrow, a price increase of 1 lira and 20 kuruş for gasoline is expected, and with the price increase reflected at the pump, the price of gasoline will be sold at 42 lira and 75 kuruş in Istanbul and 43 lira and 10 kuruş in Ankara.

HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?

Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities.

EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGES

After the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) filed a complaint against EPGIS, the only union that explains price changes, the union announced that it would not share fuel price changes with citizens until the legal process is concluded.
