During the opening of the new legislative year of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), a handshake between MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and DEM Party officials marked the beginning of the event. Following this, it is expected that a delegation will go to İmralı after calls were made during group meetings for a meeting between DEM Party members and the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan.
