In Sakarya, a total of 4 suspects, including 2 women, were arrested in a prostitution operation conducted by police teams for arranging women for prostitution in exchange for material benefits, particularly to elderly men coming to tea houses, and providing venues. During the operation, 5 women who were victims were rescued, while the workplaces and residences used in the crime were sealed.
The Sakarya Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate Moral Bureau teams launched technical and physical surveillance targeting two separate workplaces operating in the Adapazarı district, within the scope of the crime of 'promoting, facilitating, and providing premises for prostitution.' As a result of meticulous investigations conducted between May 15-18, it was determined that women were arranged for prostitution in exchange for money, particularly for elderly male customers coming to these workplaces.
4 PEOPLE ARRESTED
An operation was carried out after it was established that male individuals from these establishments, operated as tea houses, were taken to different residences prepared for prostitution by the network. In a simultaneous operation at the identified addresses, a total of 4 suspects—2 men and 2 women—including workplace owners Ş.Ç. (53) and A.K. (56), and network members N.K. (48) and Y.G. (42), who were found to have directed women for prostitution, were caught and taken into custody. Following their procedures at the police station, all 4 suspects were referred to judicial authorities, arrested, and sent to prison.
5 VICTIM WOMEN RESCUED
During the investigation, the moral police identified an additional residence in the Adapazarı district, besides the two workplaces, that was used for prostitution by the same individuals. Within the scope of the operations, 5 female victims held by the network were rescued. Efforts were initiated to close down 1 residence and 2 workplaces determined to have been used in the crime. - SAKARYA
