The volatility in fuel prices continues unabated. Immediately following the 2 lira 92 kuruş increase on diesel, a 2 lira 74 kuruş hike was also applied to the price of gasoline per liter. With the new prices reflected at the pump as of midnight, gasoline prices in three major cities have settled in the 74-75 lira band.
Fluctuations in global markets and volatility in exchange rates continue to be reflected as increases in fuel prices. Following the latest hike in diesel, gasoline users also woke up to the news of a price increase this morning. After the price increase of 2 lira 74 kurus, fuel price boards, especially in metropolitan cities, have changed completely.
CURRENT SITUATION IN THREE MAJOR CITIES
With the new increases reflected at the pump, the price per liter of gasoline on the European side of the megacity Istanbul became 74.26 TL, diesel 82.73 TL, and LPG 33.79 TL. On the Anatolian side, gasoline is being sold at 74.11 TL, diesel at 82.58 TL, and LPG at 33.19 TL.
In the capital Ankara, with the new prices, the price per liter of gasoline rose to 75.23 TL. In the city, diesel is sold at 83.83 TL and LPG at 33.89 TL.
With the new tariff, in Izmir, which has the highest prices among the three major cities, gasoline reached 75.53 TL. In Izmir, the price per liter of diesel is 84.12 TL, while LPG is trading at 33.79 TL.
