Italian Serie A To Start Saturday

Serie A clubs signed on some big names to strengthen their squads for coming season.

The new season in Serie A will begin with fresh football matches this Saturday.

2022 champions AC Milan will play against Udinese. The match at Milan's San Siro Stadium will kick off at 1630GMT.

There will be another match at the same time Saturday with Atalanta visiting Sampdoria.

Later Saturday, Inter Milan will take on Lecce in an away match, and Torino will face Monza.

Pogba returns to Juventus, Turin club sign Di Maria as well

The Serie A clubs signed on some big names to strengthen their squads for the coming season.

In Italy, Juventus used the summer transfer window to sign their former midfielder Paul Pogba along with Argentine winger Angel Di Maria from Paris Saint-Germain.

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Pogba and Di Maria were the major signings.

Departing the Turin club were Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt, Turkish defender Merih Demiral, Argentine forward Paulo Dybala, Italian midfielder Federico Bernardeschi, Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey, and Juventus' veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini.

In August, AC Milan cemented its midfield with Belgium's Charles de Ketelaere, one of the important moves this summer.

Alessandro Florenzi left Roma for AC Milan, and Belgian forward Divock Origi joined Milan from Liverpool in July.

Inter Milan signed Lazio forward Joaquin Correa in July.

Meanwhile Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku was back to Inter last month.

Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan was also one of the Inter signings this summer.

Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic, Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, and Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal all left the Milan club. -
