Industrial production in Japan rose at the fastest monthly pace on record in June, up 9.2% from May, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on Monday.
The June figure rebounded from a 7.5% decrease a month ago.
Production of motor vehicles jumped 14.1%, electrical machinery, and information and communication electronics equipment by 11.7% and electronic parts and devices by 11.6%.
On an annual basis, industrial output decreased for the fourth month in a row with 2.8% in June, weaker than May's figure of a 3.1% decline. -
