Jordan's King Abdullah II met on Wednesday with Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force Gen. David L. Goldfein.
Talks between the two sides tackled military cooperation between the two countries, the Jordanian Royal Court said in a statement.
Discussions also dwelt on counter-terrorism efforts "as part of a comprehensive strategy", the statement read.
It did not mention when the top U.S. military official arrived in Jordan or the duration of his visit.
Jordan is a member of a U.S.-led coalition against the Daesh terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq. -
