In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it is requested that the defendant, who confessed to strangling the child after abusing her, be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional murder of a child to conceal a crime, destroy evidence, facilitate its commission, or avoid capture," and for "deprivation of liberty of a child for sexual purposes," as well as imprisonment from 6 to 21 years, and for "sexual abuse of a child," a prison sentence of not less than 18 years.
