CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had removed Mehmet Hadimi Yakupoğlu, who had been the CHP's YSK representative for 15 years, after the appellate court's absolute nullity decision. About three weeks after this removal, Kılıçdaroğlu appointed Konya-based lawyer Köksal Filorinalı as the YSK representative. Filorinalı serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mevlana Arbitration and Mediation Center Inc., which he founded.

Meanwhile, the fact that Filorinalı, appointed as the YSK representative, is the husband of Gülsüm Filorinalı, who was appointed to the High Disciplinary Board membership by the absolute nullity decision, caused reactions within the party.
