Kuwait's Emir Pays 1St Official Visit To Egypt

Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah arrived in Cairo on Tuesday for his first official visit to Egypt since he assumed office last December.

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi welcomed the Kuwaiti emir upon arrival, the presidency said in a statement, without providing any further details.

Sheikh Mishal was sworn in as Kuwait's new ruler last December following the death of Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

He had previously visited Egypt twice when he was a crown prince in 2022 and 2023.
