A disaster was narrowly avoided in the city of Mooka in Tochigi prefecture, Japan. Despite heavy rain in the area yesterday, lightning struck the event area during a concert. Local authorities reported that 9 people working as cleaners at the event, out of the 12,000 attendees, were taken to the hospital with complaints of burns and numbness, but their lives were not in danger. The incident occurred at around 16:20 local time, and the event was subsequently canceled as a precaution.
