In three different provinces of Turkey, citizens went to the polls for mayoral and council member elections in six settlements that regained town status. While the voting process for the local by-elections covering Tokat, Gümüşhane, and Nevşehir was completed without any issues, unofficial results have also become clear. According to initial ballot box data, in four of the six towns, the AKP candidate, in one the CHP candidate, and in one the MHP candidate finished the race ahead, becoming the new mayor.
In three different cities of Turkey, local by-election excitement was experienced in a total of six settlements that regained town status. Voters went to the polls to determine the mayor and municipal council members in six towns in Tokat, Gümüşhane, and Nevşehir; and to elect the mukhtar and elder councils in a total of 362 neighborhoods, including 7 districts of Istanbul.
The voting process, which started at 08:00 AM, was completed with the closing of ballot boxes at 05:00 PM. Serdar Mutta, President of the Supreme Election Council (YSK), reported that the elections were completed smoothly.
RESULTS FROM THE BALLOT BOX: 4 AKP, 1 CHP, 1 MHP
According to unofficial results; among the six settlements that regained town status, the AKP candidate finished ahead in four, the CHP candidate in one, and the MHP candidate in one.

POLLING STATIONS
Within the scope of local by-elections, votes were cast for the municipal administration in the towns of Yolüstü and Çevrecik in the Reşadiye district of Tokat, Bağtaşı in the Almus district, Kuşçu in the Yeşilyurt district, as well as Tekke in the central Gümüşhane district, and Mustafapaşa in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir, all of which regained town status.
