A citizen who went to a rural area to collect mushrooms in the Akçadağ district of Malatya stunned a honey badger, known as 'the world's most fearless animal' and rarely seen in Turkey, by hitting it on the head with an iron rod after being attacked.
HONEY BADGER ATTACKED
The incident occurred in the rural area of Ancar District in Akçadağ. According to information obtained, Eyüp Toydaş, who was collecting mushrooms in the region, encountered two honey badgers hunting on the land. Shortly after, Toydaş was attacked by one of the badgers and hit the animal on the head with the iron rod he was holding to protect himself.
IT FAINTED
It was reported that after the blow, the honey badger fell to the ground, rolled over several times, and fainted before fleeing the area and disappearing. Eyüp Toydaş, who recorded the moment with his mobile phone camera, stated that the situation surprised him. Toydaş said that the honey badger population is rarely seen in the region.
