In the mixed team category of the Paris Olympic Games, Senior Sergeant Yusuf Dikeç, who won the silver medal in the 10m air pistol event, attracted attention by shooting with one hand in his pocket without headphones.

FIRST MEDAL IN SHOOTING

Yusuf Dikeç-Şevval İlayda Tarhan duo, who competed in the mixed team category of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, made their names in Turkish sports history. Dikeç and Tarhan won the silver medal. The national team won Turkey's first medal in shooting in Olympic history.

Yusuf Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan, who finished first in the qualifiers with 582 points and also equalled the Olympic ranking record, competed against Serbia in the final. The national team, who lost the match 16-14 in the final shots, became the Olympic runner-up and achieved a first for Turkish sports.

National shooter Yusuf Dikeç competed in the Olympics for the 5th consecutive time. Dikeç, who had not won a medal in the 4 Olympics he had participated in before, reached his goal in Paris 2024.
