An investigation has been launched regarding a woman who traveled with her dog on public transportation in Istanbul and threatened passengers by introducing herself as a prosecutor. The prosecutor's examination revealed that the suspect was not a prosecutor, had dropped out of the Justice Vocational School, and had numerous criminal records. The woman, identified as Y.S., was taken into custody.

A woman getting into a vehicle with her dog in Istanbul had a dispute with some passengers. The passengers expressed their discomfort with the dog being without a muzzle. In response to a female passenger who said, "I don't want to travel with a dog," the suspect replied, "You can get off, my dear." The argument escalated quickly.

"I AM A PROSECUTOR," SHE SAID, AND INSULTED

After one of the passengers said, "Call the police," the suspect introduced herself as a prosecutor this time. She responded, "The police are under my command, I am a prosecutor. You can stay in Turkey." The footage also included the suspect using threatening and insulting expressions like, "I will kill you, bigot." The video of those moments quickly became a trending topic on social media.

THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE TOOK ACTION

Following the spread of the footage, the prosecutor's office initiated an investigation ex officio. Proceedings were initiated against the suspect for "threat" and "inciting or humiliating the public to hatred and hostility."

HER TRUE IDENTITY WAS REVEALED

The prosecutor's office announced that the suspect's identity is Y.S. It was determined that Y.S. is not a public prosecutor, that she dropped out of the Justice Vocational School, and that she is still an active student in the Department of Medical Documentation and Secretarial at the Open and Distance Education Faculty.

Additionally, it was found that Y.S. has a record for "theft from the workplace and institution (a minor committing a crime), purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotic substances under TCK 191, threats, insults, and intentional injury."

TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

The woman named Y.S. was taken into custody after the footage spread on social media.
