One of Argentina's established clubs, Boca Juniors, is insisting on signing Galatasaray's midfielder Lucas Torreira. Boca, which wants to finalize the Torreira transfer, aims to achieve a successful outcome with the Uruguayan star by selling Cristian Medina, who has long been on Fenerbahçe's radar, to the yellow-navy team and using the funds from that sale.

Transfer news from Argentina is increasingly suggesting that Lucas Torreira, one of Galatasaray's indispensable players, may leave the yellow-red team.

BOCA'S FIRST TARGET IS TORREIRA

According to information shared by Damian Rancez from the Argentine press outlet El Crack Deportivo; Boca Juniors has made significant progress in the transfer of Lucas Torreira. Rancez noted that although Paredes is an alternative, the Uruguayan star is closer to the transfer. It was also emphasized that Boca Juniors President Juan Roman Riquelme's insistence on this transfer plays an important role. Recent news from South America indicates that Boca's primary target in the transfer market is Torreira.

MEDINA WILL BE SOLD TO FENERBAHÇE FOR TORREIRA

On the other hand, Cristian Medina, a midfielder who regularly plays for the Argentine team, is also among the top targets on Fenerbahçe's transfer list. Boca is expected to knock on the door with a $10 million offer for Torreira's transfer, and to cover this cost, they aim to sell Medina to the yellow-navy team first.

FENERBAHÇE HAS BEEN INTERESTED SINCE SUMMER

Fenerbahçe had also approached Boca for the 22-year-old Argentine defensive midfielder during the summer, but the negotiations that lasted for days did not yield any results. If Medina transfers to the yellow-navy team during the mid-season, Boca will push for Torreira in January.

It was stated that Boca aims to finalize the transfer of the Uruguayan midfielder within 2025.
