The fire occurred around 03:00 at night in the Hoca Ahmet Yesevi neighborhood of Yeşilyurt district. According to the information obtained, a fire of unknown cause broke out at the Scrapyard Site and quickly grew, affecting a wide area. The dense smoke and flames were visible from many parts of the city. Due to the fire, a container dormitory where workers were staying in the area was evacuated as a precaution.
