A man was charged Wednesday with the murder of a 14-year-old boy in a stabbing attack in London.
Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, 36, killed Daniel Anjorin in a sword attack Tuesday in the city's Hainault area.
He is expected to appear at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
A serious incident was declared early Tuesday after a sword-wielding man entered a house in Hainault and stabbed several people.
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement that two officers are among the five injured after being attacked by the suspect, who is in custody.
Speaking to reporters later in the day, Chief Superintendent Stuart Bell said that one of the victims, a 14-year-old boy, died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
Early Wednesday, the victim was named as Daniel Anjorin.
Jaswant Narwal, Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London North, said that Monzo has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article. -
