With new developments emerging every day, the question of whether Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara's divorce can take place according to Turkish law has also come to the fore. THEY CANNOT DIVORCEIt is not possible for Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara to divorce according to Turkish law. Recently, it has been frequently reported that if Mauro Icardi files for divorce in Turkey, he will not have to pay compensation and alimony due to his wife's infidelity, and he may be able to obtain custody of their two daughters. However, it is not possible for Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara to divorce according to Turkish law. According to Private International Law, divorce provisions must be governed by the law of the country where the couple was married. In other words, the couple can only divorce according to Argentine law. According to Private International Law; ARTICLE 14 – (1) The grounds and provisions for divorce and separation are subject to the common national law of the spouses. In cases where the parties have different nationalities and there is no common habitual residence, Turkish law shall apply. (2) The provision of the first paragraph shall apply to alimony claims between divorced spouses. This provision is also valid in cases of separation and annulment of marriage.
