In the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, Red Bull's Dutch driver Max Verstappen finished the race in 5th place and, following Lando Norris's 6th place finish, declared his championship for the fourth consecutive time.

In the 22nd race of the Formula 1 World Championship, Dutch driver Max Verstappen of the Red Bull team, who finished fifth in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, achieved his championship title for the fourth consecutive time.

The race, held on a 6.2-kilometer track named after the city of Las Vegas in the state of Nevada, USA, was conducted over 50 laps. George Russell, the British driver of Mercedes who started from the "Pole" position, secured his second stage victory of the season with a time of 1 hour 22 minutes and 05.969 seconds. Lewis Hamilton from Great Britain finished second, 7.313 seconds behind his teammate, while Carlos Sainz from Ferrari came in third, 11.906 seconds behind the leader.

VERSTAPPEN CHAMPION FOR THE 4TH CONSECUTIVE TIME

To secure the championship, Verstappen needed to finish ahead of his closest rival in the drivers' standings, Lando Norris (McLaren) from Great Britain. He crossed the finish line in fifth place, 16.582 seconds behind Russell. After the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where Norris finished in sixth place, the Dutch driver increased the gap between them to 63 points and declared his fourth championship title with two stages remaining in the season. Verstappen matched the four championships held by French driver Alain Prost and German driver Sebastian Vettel in Formula 1. The 23rd race of the season, the Qatar Grand Prix, will be held on December 1.
