Head of Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) has called on the assembly members to jointly work against terrorism.
In a meeting in the Turkish parliament on Wednesday, Alia Hatoug-Bouran said terrorism has no limit, religion or identity.
"For this reason, as all members of PAM, we should work together," she said.
She criticized the narrative of connecting terrorism with Islam, saying Islam is "a wonderful religion and the whole world is aware of it."
The two-day PAM meeting on "the nexus of security and population movements" will continue until Thursday at the Turkish parliament.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Mustafa Sentop and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will also attend the meeting. -
