Mehmet Büyükekşi, who was accused of corruption by İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, has broken his silence.

Turkish football was shaken by corruption allegations against former president Mehmet Büyükekşi by the President of the Turkish Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu. Hacıosmanoğlu, who stated that they would file a criminal complaint, accused Büyükekşi's administration of forgery. Former TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi responded to these allegations.

WHAT DID İBRAHİM HACIOSMANOĞLU SAY?

İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, in a program he attended on Ekol TV, said, "They presented a financial statement with a surplus of 5 million lira to the general assembly. When our friends examined it, a deficit of 278 million 342 thousand 398 lira was revealed. There are manipulations in the financial statements. I asked the financial director about the issue, and he said, 'We did this so that we wouldn't have an audit problem.' We immediately terminated his employment. Now we will file a criminal complaint. Additionally, they want our ball sponsor Puma to send an extra 200 thousand Euros first to a club and then to a wall advertising company, but the company does not accept this," he said.

“THERE ARE HOSPITALITY EXPENSES EXCEEDING 4 MILLION”

Hacıosmanoğlu stated that the former administration spent 4 million 681 thousand euros on hospitality after the championship ended, saying, "They said there were guests who stayed for 2-3 more days after the European Championship ended. They also stayed in very luxurious places. The championship is over, why are you staying?"

Mehmet Büyükekşi, stating that he did not meet with İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu after handing over the position, concluded his remarks by saying, "I have not met with İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu at all since I left the position. The travel expenses for EURO 2024 were decided by the board of directors; I did not make the decision alone."
