Melisa Akcan, who lost five of her children in the fire disaster in Izmir, reacted to the ministry's statement that they had made a payment of 110,705 TL to them within a year. Akcan said, "They were giving us 8,000 TL in aid for our children, but they reduced it to 4,000 TL. How can I take care of my children with 4,000 TL?"

Melisa Akcan, who lost her life in a fire that broke out after she locked the door and left five children in the Selçuk district of İzmir, made striking statements after being referred to the courthouse and released under judicial control.

WORDS THAT WILL BE TALKED ABOUT A LOT BY THE MOTHER

Responding via Sözcü TV to the statement made by the Ministry and then by AK Party's Özlem Zengin that they received a payment of 110,705 TL within a year, Akcan made a claim that will be widely discussed.

"HOW CAN I TAKE CARE OF MY 5 CHILDREN WITH 4,000 TL?"

In response to the question, "There are claims that you received 110,000 lira in aid, is this true?" Akcan said, "I did not receive any aid of 110,000 lira, let alone 100,000, I have never received any aid. On the contrary, I was receiving 8,000 lira in aid, and they reduced it to 4,000 lira. How can I take care of my 5 children with this 4,000 lira?" Akcan's parents also reiterated that their daughter did not receive 100,000 lira in aid from the state.

AK PARTY'S ZENGİN: ELECTRICITY SUPPORT HAS BEEN PROVIDED, OTHER SUPPORTS TOO

AK Party Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin also made a statement in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly that drew reactions. In her speech, Zengin said: "110,705 lira has been provided by our ministry, approximately 9,000 lira through the district governor's office, electricity support has been provided, and other supports have been given. However, the family has preferred to take care of their children themselves despite all this.

No one has the intention to forcibly take anyone's child. If the mother has an issue regarding taking care of her children, I always call for this. I say let’s discuss it all together through the system. You keep turning everything into money. Is the reason for all these problems financial? No, there are other reasons behind this. Let’s talk about them, and I will explain them to you in the background. There are other problems within the family as well. I find it hard to understand why you keep tying everything to money on such a painful day.
