The meteorology department has issued a yellow alert for 13 provinces and an orange alert for 4 provinces. The Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, and Western and Central Black Sea regions will be under the influence of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. In the coastal Aegean, Western Mediterranean, and Çanakkale, strong winds will be felt. The meteorology department has warned citizens about potential adverse conditions due to the weather disturbances.

According to the latest forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology; thunderstorms and heavy rain will be effective across the country. An orange alert has been issued for Antalya, Aydın, İzmir, and Muğla, while a yellow alert has been issued for Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, Burdur, Çanakkale, Denizli, Edirne, Isparta, Kırklareli, Konya, Kütahya, Manisa, Tekirdağ, and Uşak.



HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT THE COUNTRY



It is predicted that the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Western and Central Black Sea, the western part of Southeastern Anatolia, as well as Gümüşhane, Malatya, Elazığ, Erzincan, and Tunceli regions will experience intermittent rainfall. In Sivas, Yozgat, Gümüşhane, Erzincan, Bolu, and Tunceli regions, mixed rain and snow, rain and showers in other areas, and thunderstorms in places are expected; the rainfall is expected to be strong in the Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean, the eastern part of the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as in Ankara, Konya, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Aksaray, Nevşehir, Bolu, Düzce, Zonguldak, and Bartın regions, with very strong rainfall in places in the coastal Aegean and the eastern part of Antalya. The wind is expected to blow generally from the south, and from the west and northwest in the northeastern regions, lightly to occasionally moderately, while it is expected to be strong and occasionally short-lived storms (40-70 km/h) in the Coastal Aegean, Western Mediterranean, and the regions of Çanakkale and Balıkesir.

The Meteorology Department stated that due to the expected strong rainfall in the Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean, the eastern part of the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as in Ankara, Konya, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Aksaray, Nevşehir, Bolu, Düzce, Zonguldak, and Bartın regions, and very strong rainfall in places in the Coastal Aegean and the eastern part of Antalya, it is necessary to be cautious and take precautions against possible adverse conditions.
