According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the northern and eastern parts of Turkey are expected to be partly, at times very cloudy, with local rain and showers in the northeastern Marmara, the Black Sea, the northern part of Eastern Anatolia, the surroundings of Bilecik and Sivas, the coastal areas of Kırklareli, as well as the northern coasts of Çanakkale and Balıkesir. It is predicted that the high areas of Kastamonu and the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, as well as the high areas of the northern part of Eastern Anatolia, will experience mixed rain and snow, while other places will be mostly clear with few clouds.
It is expected that the rainfall will be locally strong along the Black Sea coasts. Fog and haze are expected in the inner regions. No significant change in air temperatures is anticipated. It is predicted that temperatures will remain below seasonal norms across the country. The wind is expected to generally blow lightly from the north, occasionally at moderate strength, while in the southeastern part of Eastern Anatolia, it is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from the south and southwest.
STRONG RAINFALL WARNING
Due to the expected locally strong rainfall along the Black Sea coasts, a warning has been issued to be cautious and prepared for possible adverse conditions. Caution and preparedness are also advised due to the expected frost events in the Inner Aegean and Inner Anatolia.
