Meteorology issues yellow code warning for 10 provinces: Snowfall will reach 10 centimeters.

The General Directorate of Meteorology issued a yellow code warning for 10 provinces along the Black Sea, while experts stated that temperatures in Anatolia will continue to drop on Thursday and over the weekend. They warned, "This weekend, there will be 5-10 cm of snow in the inner parts of the Black Sea region and in the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia, including Sivas."

According to a statement from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the rainfall expected in the Eastern Black Sea region, which is anticipated to be heavy rain and thunderstorms, is predicted to be locally strong around Ordu, Giresun, and Trabzon from noon tomorrow, and strong, at times very strong, in the Rize region and the coastal areas of Artvin from the evening hours.

"STORMS AND DISRUPTIONS IN TRANSPORTATION MAY OCCUR"

It is expected that the rainfall will lose its effect after the morning hours of October 14, Monday. Caution and preparedness are required against adverse conditions such as flash floods, water accumulation, lightning, small-scale local hail, short-term storms, and disruptions in transportation. The provinces that Meteorology has issued a yellow code warning for are Artvin, Giresun, Kastamonu, Ordu, Rize, Sinop, Trabzon, Zonguldak, Bartın, and Düzce.

"THERE WILL BE 5-10 CENTIMETERS OF SNOW"

CNN TÜRK Meteorology Consultant Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen also provided a weather assessment through his social media account. In his post, Şen stated, "Today, rain in the Black Sea region, temperatures will decrease by 4-5 degrees in the North, West, and Central regions. Next Thursday and the weekend, temperatures will continue to drop in Anatolia, and by the weekend, there will be 5-10 cm of snow in the inner parts of the Black Sea and the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia, including Sivas."

"NO SNOW IN ISTANBUL AND ANKARA"

There is no rain in Istanbul today, 20°C. Ankara 21, Izmir 28, Antalya 28°C. Towards the end of next week, temperatures in Istanbul and Ankara will drop to 15-16 degrees and below. Izmir will also drop to around 20 degrees. There will be no snow in Istanbul and Ankara. But the cold will make people turn on their stoves."
