A new security breach has occurred in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, which is under scrutiny by regulatory authorities. A portion of the funds seized by the U.S. government, which holds a total of $14 billion worth of crypto assets, has been transferred to various decentralized platforms by an unidentified attacker. Ethereum and Stablecoin Transfers Under SurveillanceAccording to a report by blockchain analysis firm Arkham Intelligence, unusual transactions were detected on Thursday at 21:00 Turkish time. Funds that had been inactive for over eight months were withdrawn from the decentralized lending platform Aave. The attacker withdrew approximately $14 million in AUSDC stablecoin, $5.4 million in USDC, $1.1 million in USDT, and nearly half a million dollars in ETH from nine different USG seizure addresses. Crypto researcher ZachXBT stated that the funds were not moved by the U.S. government, indicating that this is a hacking incident. The suspect's wallet currently holds approximately $13 million worth of cryptocurrency. The attacker distributed some of the funds to addresses starting with 0x15D0a and 0xBf6F7. These addresses contain Ethereum worth $5.5 million and $1.4 million, respectively.
