The Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Güler, stated, "Thanks to the great dedication and efforts of our heroic Mehmetçik, the lock has now been closed in Zap as well. Our activities in the region continue and will continue with the same pace and determination." Minister Güler announced that since the beginning of this year, 2,564 terrorists have been neutralized.

Minister of National Defense Mr. Yaşar Güler made striking statements during his presentation at the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission.

Referring to the success of the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Iraq, Minister Güler stated, "Since the beginning of this year, 2,564 terrorists have been neutralized as part of operations carried out with determination and resolve."

Finally, he stated, "Thanks to the great dedication and effort of our heroic soldiers, a key has now been locked in Zap as well. Our activities in the region continue and will continue with the same tempo and determination."
